Hi! I’m Eve and I have decided, inspired by Julie and Julia, to bake my way through Mary Berry’s Baking Bible (Mastering the Art of French Cooking was way too long. It would have taken me forever!)
Changes are happening and I needed a project. I love baking and cooking, and wanted something short – not too long – otherwise I worred I wouldn’t reach my goal. Having autism means I get overwhelmed easily, and baking is a way I can destress. I feel better when I make something beautiful, useful, and that people really enjoy eating. It makes me feel I’m doing good in the world.
So, 192 recipes, 12 months, and lots and lots of sugar. (With this quantity of cake the neighbours are going to get to know us very well….). And warning in advance: I will be baking a cake that serves 100 people. And I am signing on to the challenge now.
